National Snow and Ice Data Center: Green Data Center Open House
When
04 May 2012
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location
1540 30th St. Boulder, CO 80309
Green Data Center Open House
Co-Sponsored by RMH Group and Xcel Energy
Snow and ice by definition need to stay cold, and so do scientific data about snow and ice. At NSIDC, we are normally about research into Earth's frozen regions, but we did a little research on energy and a lot of collaboration with local Colorado companies, and came up with something pretty cool.
Come see the award-winning data center design that cuts energy required for cooling our computing center by more than 90%. Learn how other data centers and the technology industry can save energy and reduce carbon emissions. We are also sporting a slick array of new cadmium-tellurium solar panels that will supply most of the power for the computing center.
When: Friday, May 4, 2:00 — 4:00 p.m.
Where:1540 30th St. Boulder, CO 80309
By Invitation Only — Please RSVP by April 25th:
Linda Pendergrass, 303-492-1595, Linda.Pendergrass@colorado.edu
